Claudia Brookes has been juried into  Plein Air Easton as one of 50 competing artists who will paint in Talbot County and  Easton, Maryland,  from July 21st through 27th, 2008. Collectors who wish to be among the first to view and purchase freshly painted artwork should plan to attend the Collector's Preview Party  at the Academy Art Museum of Easton on Friday evening, July 25th. Admission to the Collector's Choice show is $100 per person, applicable towards purchase of a painting. The show will be open to the public without charge on  Saturday & Sunday, July 26th and 27th. In its short history, Plein Air Easton has come to be regarded as one of the premier East Coast plein air painting competitions, and attracts applicants from all over the country. Claudia Brookes is one of 22 artists juried into the Paint Annapolis 2008 plein air competition, the Mid-Atlantic's celebrated annual plein air painting event, now in its 7th year. The juried artists will paint in the historic Annapolis area for 3 days, culminating in a Collector's Preview Party and Sale of  their work at Maryland Hall, Annapolis, on Sunday, September 21st, from 2-6 PM.
