| This was another of the paintings I did for the Wayne Art Center Plein Air Competition, and was probably the most challenging. All day it had rained off and on and kept me in, and under competition pressure, I knew I had to do an evening painting. I found good cover under a roof overhang opposite the theatre, and worked while it rained, then cleared, then rained hard again! This is an amazing art deco theatre, wonderful by day or night, and a fantastic subject. |
