| I painted this lovely corner garden in the town of St. Michaels, Maryland, as a competitor during Plein Air Easton 2009. Often, as we paint in the heat and humidity, standing hour after hour at our easels, people can be very kind to us, offering us water, or a place to sit out of the heat for a while. The property owner with this pretty garden brought me iced tea & cookies on a lovely plate, and later offered me a glass of wine & even a sandwich! |
